Title: Do virals actually work?

One comment left against a post on the business blog titled " Viral Marketing - the best way to advertise your business" suggests that perhaps it adds little value.

What do you think?

You only have to take a look at YouTube and you quickly get an idea of the number of viewings a video can get.

Well here’s anew one promoting KitKat. After having viewed it you’re invited to take a look at the new French KitKat site.

Personally I think this is a great viral!

What do you think?

Viral Marketing is a very powerful element of the 'promotion' mix, but shouldn't be considered in isolation from other forms of promotion.

The key is to consider where your target audience is to be found and then how to attract them.

Depands on if you have something that is of genuine interest or value to your target audience.
