Title: Category issue

I found it's difficult to locate the right category as a lot of business types are not listed.

Thanks for this. We are currently doing some work on categorisation, so I'd be really interested to hear from you or others on the categories you'd like to see!

Thanks.

Hi Checkmygrouting,

Firstly... HUGE apologies for not responding sooner - we aim to reply to all posts requesting help within 1  working day but yours somehow slipped through our net.

We'll be adding 'Tilers' into Home & Garden/Building & construction. I'm just waiting to hear back from the team when this will be live and will keep you updated.

Thank you,
Lian

Hi. I spent ages adding our business to the tradespace, but there is no category for carpet & upholstery cleaners at all. I had to enter it under home & garden to start with, then home furnishings (which is not appropriate really, but then neither is building!) . It can't be found yet either, so I'm assuming it takes a while before it's up? Rather than 'home furnishings' I feel you should have a section for 'home services' for people like cleaners, decorators etc. Also we are domestic AND commercial carpet cleaners, so 'home services' does not cover it. There needs to be a  section for Property management Services, also Commercial cleaning services.

In summary, as far as categories go for carpet cleaning I think it should really start out:

Home & Garden, then Home Services, followed by a list such as Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning, Domestic Cleaning, Window Cleaning, Dry Cleaning etc. etc...

Hope you can do this ASAP? I seem to remember that somewhere along the way it was said not to enter a category if it didn't apply? But you couldn't continue to enter the business details without doing so. But then I have seen some businesses entered under Home Furnishings 'Other'. I didn't have 'other' as an option??

Thanks for listening; hopefully you can resolve this.

Hi A Star Service,
Thanks for your question; you are correct in thinking it can take a little while for your new business to appear in a category, please allow up to 24 hours for these changes to be recognised.

I’d like to refer you to our recent blog posting regarding category suggestions.

I have the same issue. Im not happy with being classed as a counsellor when I am specialising in Art Psychotherapy a form of Psychotherapy

Is it possible for us to have a psychotherapy heading as I have seen a feel psychotherapists advertising on here. I feel very lost amongst counsellors (no disrespect to them as they do stirling work)

thanking you
