Title: Hello

Hi to all members of this community.  I am a recently established wedding photographer based in Kent.  I would like to network with other wedding photographers - to chat, share ideas etc etc

Hope to chat soon.

Hi Donna - thanks for your message.

Good luck with the wedding photography - it isn't easy!  I have only recently got my website up and running and have advertising going out in the next couple of months.

Where are you based?  I cover Kent and the South East but will travel further afield... if asked.

I look forward to a chat some time.

Rick

Hi Donna

The best advertising is word of mouth - so make sure everyone at a wedding gets your business card.  I have advertising going out in a couple of wedding mags but these aren't cheap I'm afraid.  You can try internet advertising but I don't know if you have a website?

Other than that - you can put a card into newsagents windows for not very much money...

Hi all.

I am Mark, I have recently set-up a Photography & design business in Fife, Scotland.

I had my own studio many years ago, but the building was demolished for re-development.

I have just today got the first of my display images back from the printers, and hope to get them displayed very soon.

One option for advertising would be what I tried... I emailed a few local papers asking for their media packs, and waited for them to call me.

On the first call refuse to agree anything, but tell them you may be interested if a good enough deal was offered.

That afternoon I had sealed a deal for a half page advert in the local (delivered free) 75,000 circulation paper for £195 inc VAT. The rate card price for the same advert - £1,350 + VAT.

The papers always have a spot to fill at last minute, they'd rather get something for it that give it away with a free filler.

Hi Mark - that is a fantastically cunning plan!  I will have to try this out...
