Title: Is it the time of year or are we doing something wrong?
Hi, my name is Wendy and myself and a partner run a courier company, based in Doncaster and London. We invested in the London van in July due to the Doncaster one trying to run 24/7!!! as work suddenly picked up. Which we are proud of as we have only been going since March. But suddenly over the last few weeks we seem to be getting quite! Is it the time of year? Or are we doing something wrong with advertising? We regularly send leaflets and business cards out to a variety of companies, which for the amount going out, we aren't getting alot of feedback. And because we are fairly new our budget for advertising is very limited. Can anyone please give me some pointers on the best way to get out there and known? Thanks Wendy

Hi Wendy this may help we receive over 6000 visits a week . Hi you can place ad on my site for just £25 for the year. Take a look at the size of ad you get for your hard earned. www.yourtrustedtradesmen.com/#/london/4528246626 You may recognise some of the names of fellow tradespacers. We currently average 6000 visits a week, London receives 240 visits a day alone. Our visitor numbers are increasing everyday. We have only been live 12 weeks so imagine how big we are going to be in a year. We have 120 services signed already. And remember thats for 1 year. If you would like further info please visit my site or e-mail below enquiries_ytt@yourtrustedtradesmen.com All the best Mick It Helps get your name out there,a lot of our visitors are businesses

Hi Wendy, I would say that you have gone quite because of the holiday season. We have been quite for the last two months as well. Let's hope things will pick up once the people return from their annual leave. Also, this fear of credit crunch does not help.... Martina airchannel

Hi Mick, I gathered its for me. :) Yes please to the advert. If you want to send it to his email addressinfo@1stclasstiling.com and in copy to memartina@airchannel.co.uk that would be great. He is currenlty concentrating on getting business fornatural stone care and maintenance, so if you could do something along those lines, that would be great. :) Looking forward to receiving it. Hi Wendy It could be the time of year as i slow down July/Aug then start picking upi again in Sept. Use the time you have now to list in directories etc then you should see an upturn. allblue www.simplymasquerade.co.uk

Hi to all that have replied! And thanks for the advise you have all given me....it's greatly appreciated. We do list where possible on free sites, but have always been a bit dubious of paying sites, but it seems that could well be our downfall!! So we are given the site a serious thought. And if the man in the post office sees me once more with a bag full of envelopes...I swear he's going to have a heart attack!!!! But thats business and it has to be done. Once again a big thank you to all for your support Wendy

Hi Wendy, I agree that you'll probably find things start to get busier from next week onwards when the school holidays finish and in the build up to Christmas. I also think you've got to give it time if you only started your business in March - same time as me. There's loads of online networking sites out there which I've found are a great way to get your business known about. By the way, I've been stuck in most of the day waiting for a courier! Gail.
